How did I get into makeup?

This is constantly something that I'm being asked by everyone that I work with. How did I get into makeup. Honesty makeup has been a little obsession of mine for a long time. When you have that one thing that makes you so excited every time you see it that is what makeup does for me. It doesn't matter where I am I can be inside a Sephora or Walmart I'm always looking new makeup products to try out and add to my kit. The funny thing is I never thought I would actually make a career from it. Makeup used to be that little passion I had on the side. I never thought I would actually be providing full face makeup applications to complete strangers. When it came to being a Professional Makeup Artist I never believed in myself I never thought I was actually that good. But over the years I started to invest in my craft. I took one on one training to improved my skin preparation, foundation application techniques and a lot more. I invested in classes that specifically targeted women of color. Now I have built my makeup kit so that I can achieve any look on any complexion. Now I am traveling all over the world, working in the video/film industry and meeting all different types of people. Sometimes I wish I would have believed in myself earlier but hey everything happens for a reason and at the right season. I absolutely love what I do and I would not change it to anything.
